This flower I got on the day I was told my grandma died, because this plant reminds me of her. I am not quite sure, why that is, but I reckon, but I think they always had these lowers in the bedroom, where it was so cold.

My brother and me both got an offshoot from our grandpa. He said, he was able to get it to bloom twice already even though it is known to bloom only once in its existence. And he said it is a pineapple plant but due to my own research it is an Aechmea fasciata.

Our ginko tree kept us very busy. We bought the little seedling with 3 leaves in Tharandt Torest Botanical Garden for our fourth anniversary, after our first one (bought for our first or second anniversary) did not survive the winter that well. The sapling taught me about plant care that patience is the most important thing and that plants are more robust than you think.

The white poinsettia plant (Euphorbia pulcherrima) was a gift from my mother and grandpa for christmas last year on the occasion of out move to Austria.
